Bushy Hill
Day Camp

Bushy Hill Day Camp program is nature, education and exploration based. Campers travel in groups daily for each session and participate in activities such as ropes course and team building games, tracking, plant and animal identification, fire building, field group games and hiking.

Hiking is a big component of our program, with campers hiking to different destinations on our property every day with their field group.

At various destination around the property, they get the chance to explore the natural world, hunt for salamanders and frogs, use our Upper Pond to look at the organisms, bugs and amphibians that live in ponds and much more.

Campers also spend a couple of hours each day down at the waterfront swimming, and taking part in water adventure activities. Campers at Bushy Hill pack their own lunch as we spend most of our time out in the woods and many days will eat on the trails!

Our largest and most popular program, for campers aged 5 - 12

Need to be somewhere earlier than our usual drop off time (8am)? Drop your campers off for our AM Care! Group games and activities with staff while the other campers arrive for morning activities.

Campers arrive from 8am to 9am whether by their own transport, or by taking one of our camp buses. During this time campers sign in with their counselors and then head to the field for group games and morning introductions before activity sign up occurs.

FIELD GROUP MORNINGS

LUNCH TIME

Once all campers have arrived at the program, our camper field groups head out to explore our miles and miles of trails. We have over 700 acres of property to explore, and activities along the trails can range from team building group games, tracking, plant and animal identification, fire building, archery, field games, and more!

During the morning hike/activities, our staff members will pick an appropriate place on the trail to stop for lunch. Campers bring their own lunch each and and we are a nut free camp! So please bear that in mind when you are packing some tasty treats for your campers!

Morning

changing time

Campers head back to the Activity Center after lunch time to get changed and ready for an afternoon down at our mile long private lake! Campers can leave their bags etc in this building and just bring towels etc down to the waterfront with them if they wish.

AFTERNOON

Waterfront Time

SNACKERTAINMENT

Down at our waterfront, campers are permitted to enjoy a free swim time in their appropriate swim areas for ability. Campers may also opt to play on the beach or try out some of our canoes or row boats with a staff member! We also have water trampolines, a water slide, and water mats for those extra special treat days!

After campers have gotten changed out of wet bathing suits we move onto the next activity... What do you get when you combine afternoon snack time with some staff-led entertainment? SNACKERTAINMENT!
